New Feature Planned for Addition to Ripple ($XRP ) Network Tested.

The new feature planned to be added to the Ripple (XRP) blockchain XRPL has been tested by developers.

Ripple has published the performance results of the “Atomic/Batch Transactions” feature proposed for addition to the XRPL (XRP Ledger) network.

This feature allows multiple transactions to be executed atomically as a single unit. This allows complex, multi-step transactions to either succeed completely or be completely rolled back. Ripple stated that this innovation will pave the way for new use cases such as atomic swaps, conditional token generation, and integrated fee management.

Tests conducted by the RippleX performance team revealed the impact of Batch Transactions on ledger throughput, consensus latency, and resource utilization. The tests, conducted under different scenarios (“All or Nothing,” “Only One,” “Until Failure,” and “Independent” modes), examined transaction response times and potential bottlenecks. Furthermore, the goal was to maintain a network consensus latency of 5 seconds even under high transaction load.

According to test results, the addition of Batch Transactions did not negatively impact XRPL's total ledger throughput. However, it was noted that Batch packages containing a maximum of eight subtransactions could significantly burden the network's transaction throughput. Ripple stated that this potential impact should be considered in performance decisions.

There is currently no clear information on when the new feature will be added to the XRP network.
