[Golden Finance] According to informed sources, Tesla (TSLA.O) is disbanding its Dojo Supercomputer team, and project leader Peter Bannon will be leaving. Musk has ordered the termination of this R&D plan. This means that Tesla's significant efforts in self-developing autonomous driving chips have come to an end. Informed sources say that about 20 employees from the team have recently moved to the newly established DensityAI company, and the remaining members will be reassigned to other data centers and computing-related projects. It is reported that Tesla plans to rely more on external technology partners in the future, including computing capabilities provided by NVIDIA and AMD, as well as chip manufacturing services from Samsung. The Dojo plan has been in preparation for many years and was seen as the core of Tesla's multi-billion dollar AI strategy. Dojo is Tesla's self-designed supercomputing system used to train the machine learning models that support its autonomous driving, FSD, and Optimus Bots.
